Huskies Fall to Mansfield, 52-46

BLOOMSBURG-The Bloomsburg University women's basketball team fell to Mansfield, 52-46 on Wednesday night.

Mansfield took the lead early and would lead by 11 after going on an 11-2 run over an eight minute time span. After a Lauren Healy (Glenmoore/Owen J. Roberts) three-pointer at the buzzer, the Huskies would end the half down by seven at 24-17.

In the second half, the Huskies fought back and went on a 10-0 run to take the lead with 4:33 left to play. Mansfield's Courtney Brooks hit a three-pointer to put them ahead once again and the Mountaineers hit all their free-throws down the stretch to seal the win.

Kelsey Gallagher (East Stroudsburg/ East Stroudsburg South) led the Huskies with 12 points, while Colleen Kegerreis (Schuykill Haven/ Schuykill Haven) had 10 points and 13 rebounds.

Brooks, who scored seven of her points in the last two minutes, finished with 16 points.

Bloomsburg will play at Cheyney on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
